Esta es la vida de Mr. Manson.

Siempre ha sido tan engreído e insolente que es difícil imaginarlo triste y deprimido. Sin embargo, en el proceso previo a su mas reciente álbum, Eat Me, Drink Me, resulto abatido por acontecimientos en su vida personal, particularmente, el fracaso de su matrimonio con la actriz Dita Von Teese.

“Mi vida estaba en un gran tornado”, dice Manson, de 38 años. “No estaba seguro de quien se suponía que seria. No sabia si me quedaba algo que decir o cómo hacer que la gente a mi alrededor sintiera algo, así tampoco sabia como hacer que el resto del mundo sintiera algo. me preguntaba si podría mantener la cabeza por encima del agua. Y el disco fue lo único que logro ayudarme.”

Bajo la protección de Trent Reznor, de Nine Inch Nails, manson se convirtió en una de las figuras mas controvertidas del rock: provoco ira con su apariencia andrógina, sus espectáculos macabros y canciones que criticaban temas políticos, religiosos y sociales. “provocar genera un renacimiento”, dice, “genera pensar, que la gente se detenga a utilizar el cerebro por un segundo. La mayoría no quiere hacerlo. Prefieren tener a alguien que les diga que deben pensar”. Manson se caso con Von Teese a fines del 2005. Un año después se divorciaron argumento “diferencias irreconciliables”, aunque Von Teese declaro q la decadencia y las drogas fueron las responsables del fin de su matrimonio. “Estaba casado con alguien que quería cambiarme por alguien mas responsable y perdí mi identidad”, dice Manson, quien decidió no separa su personaje en escena de su vida privada. “Si la vida es tan maravillosa como la estas viviendo, ¿por que abrías de cambiarla? Eres una fantasía viviente, ¿Qué mas da? Ahora puedo hacer lo que quiera sin arrepentirme.”

Después de promover Eat Me, Drink Me, la atención de Manson se enfocara a terminar la película Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carrol, la cual protagonizara –en el papel de Carrol- al lado de Evan Rachel Wood (su actual pareja), Lily Cole y Tilda Swinton. La filmación comenzara a fines de año, y confía en que la espera baldra la pena. ”antes, mi situación me acercaba mucho a la trama”, explica. “leí los diarios de Carrol y era un alma muy atormentada. Yo estaba en el mismo estado mental que el.” Pero las cosas han cambiado para bien. “hice este disco y me salvo como persona.

PARTICIPACION DE LOS JOVENES EN POLITICA

Lo que yo considero, es que los jóvenes han perdido el interés, no todos pero una importante mayoría ya sea porque no se sienten escuchados, porque piensan que su boto es algo insignificante que no cambiara nada. Como yo lo veo es o por las opiniones que me han dado es que se ven lejanos a los políticos no se identifican en ellos o creen que su opinión se perderá entre las otras i no sucederá nada.

Lo que yo creo es que para motivar a los jóvenes a botar no es solo asiendo propaganda o colgando cartelitos en las calles, sino acercarse a ellos porque lo que nosotros buscamos es que nos escuchen, hablar porque si fuera por solo dar una opinión no serviría de nada lo que se busca es dialogar para poder llegar a una solución que satisfazla las molestias o problemas que nos inquietan sin sobrepasar los limites. Tienen que pensar que nuestras opiniones son muy importantes, ya que luego “nosotros” o nuestras generaciones ocuparan sus puestos.

Otra opción es acostumbrarnos a hablar o tomar decisiones apropiadas en distintos casos políticos educarnos mejor en ese aspecto, repasarlo mas, estudiarlo para saber afrontarlo en el fututo.
